A garden of thoughts, reflections, contemplations, full with fragrance of roses blooming in the heart and jasmines in mind. What a treat to walk among these delights.

Hi Brenda,
Thanks for sending me the email message that you had new articles to read and I love that you are passing on the story of Cynthia's cat Lily. It really is an amazing story...and so are your stories of MaChree. Someday before I get too old, I hope to have such a heart companion.
lots of love

I can picture your footsteps in the white sands of the Cuban seaside.. still there... ghost-like remnants of your experience lingering there.

Brenda, finally made it here! Lots to explore. Loved the two hearts quote and image on your front page.
Good Friday service in a few hours.
I love endings. It means something new is about to happen.

Thanks Claire...you have caught the spirit of these postings...
Mary, what Ilia Delio means is the both/ and. She is comparing religious life to the Book of Nature where all is in relationship and all always changing. It's a delicious and puzzling remark, and she doesn't define it as much as throw it out into awareness for an evolving response. I have been ruminating on it for months!

Ah, Brenda, yes! We ARE slipping in and around time, the ride is getting ever more interesting, and as we have witnessed the inevitable endings of many dear lives, as we watch this glorious leaf colour inevitably fade, we know ever more deeply in the soul, that it is a ride and we can choose to enjoy every moment, to be happy because that is our spiritual responsibility. And how blessed we are to have the companionship of others on the ride. Wheeeee!

Brenda, I read all your writings and I congratulate you for such fine work.
I also am a big fan of Ilia Delio but reading her piece on religious life in the future I am left questioning what she means by relationship and membership. Are they both inclusive or different e.g.I have a very strong relationship with my family and am a family member as well. I also have a relationship with other organizations of which I am a member also. Maybe it just means individual relationships and not group relationships. I think it makes for an interesting discussion. I seem to be missing something here.

I had a dream last night about driving a car and I am unable to stop from hitting the car ahead that is stopped. A lesson to be learned ~ am I heading for a crash?
